Ummm...

I just caught the tail end of one of those
Extreme Makeover programmes
and it occurred to me
that ...
if I lost 2 stone,
had a personal trainer,
a mini face lift,
my tummy done,
my eyes done,
my bust done,
my hair professionally done,
and my teeth veneered ...

                     I could be absolutely gorgeous!

No. You would be a plastic doll. You are absolutely beautiful naturally.

Until recently, I wished I had the courage to ask for a simple neck lift. I'm starting to look like I'm wearing a wrinkled scarf.

NOW, I just wish I had the self-esteem to allow myself to enjoy my mirrored image. After all, it IS me. Shouldn't that be acceptable?

It should, but it's not.

People who have had 'interventions' look odd - smooth, tight skin where there should be laughter lines and crows' feet and all the signs of a life well lived and enjoyed.

I agree with you all! those programmes have a lot to answer for, they say the quickest face lift is a smile ... I think I'll stick with that :o)

I had a good smile from this post! There are a few things, (okay, more than a few!), I would like to work on, but I think your friend Deborah is right..a big smile makes everyone look better!

Thanks for your lovely comments on my page...much appreciated...:)
