The Bunny Meeting - Monday's Child # 19

Monday's Child prompt for children's poetry or verse

He read aloud for them all to hear
"Our carrots will be scarce this coming year"
Miss Fluffytail wiped a tear from her eye
as without her carrots she was sure she would die!
Mr. Patches pink nose began to twitch
his dear wife so worried she began to itch.
But Snowy was not one to panic at all
and gave a solution to suit them all.
They'd take all their carrots that very same day
and share them between them, for that was their way.
So this was how the bunny meeting came to an end
with carrots enough for all four special friends.

I love this fun piece. It's so much better than the well known nursery rhymes.

Ah!
Do you have a child to read to? Certainly sounds like you've had a bit of experience with bunnies.

It certainly does look like an accounting. I like the relationship between image and verse.
