Wall - Thursday Think Tank Prompt 14

Poets United holds a weekly poetry prompt.
The Thursday Think Tank
This weeks prompt word is
WALL

You found my barriers
and dismantled them
carefully
one by one
and then
you reached that wall
it was solid
unmoving
too high for you to climb
so you sat at its base
with me
quietly
and understood
till the mortar wore thin
then gently
brick by brick
you lowered the wall
until you saw me
 all of me
standing there
unprotected
but safe
 and you smiled

Creating a door inside the wall, trumping the statement, a wall is not a door. Excellently crafted post!

Oh, I love this poem! The gentle patience of love that waits quietly, earning your trust by gentle measures, not breaking down walls..realizing the time will come when walls no longer seem necessary..wonderful!

Wow, this is wonderful! The DISMANTLING of a wall. I love that he sat there with you and listened and understood......and smiled. Wonderful poem! SO well done!

I really like the patience and the willingness to dismantle that wall to find that inner core of you...bkm

I love the way you showed the vulnerability and finally being exposed. The fear was faced, so one could be free~ Great job~
