Dobermans and Dachshunds! ... I Saw Sunday - Week 8

A random assortment of things seen
this week for  I Saw Sunday

here are mine ...

Grace our lovely dog encountering a large boisterous doberman that made her go all stiff and tall until he'd gone  ... bless her, and then soon after that her slipping on the leaves by the lake and falling right in!  Bless her again ... not one of her best walks.

and

My mum making me laugh on a walk with her in her shopping buggy when her wheels got all muddy and started collecting these long leaves that stuck out from the sides, and her saying it looked like a chariot, which in turn led us to a conversation on buggy customization that made us laugh even more.
(this reminded me of when my mum first got her buggy, my sisters partner said if ever she went to a fancy dress competition she could just throw a sheet over her and the buggy, put a helmet on and stick a plunger on her head and go as a Dalek ... hehe ... it still makes me laugh)  :o)

and

Another walk with Grace where she bumped into her most favourite breed of dogs, a dachshund.
She just loves them and really does smile at the sight of them, the very first time she ever saw one, she stood stock still, looked straight at me, smiled and wagged her tail madly as if to say  "LOOK!"  ...  this was a much better walk as far as she was concerned.

and

The little mouse removal ... or mice.
Okay, okay, yes a few people may have mentioned to me that there wouldn't be just one, but I only ever saw one, and to be fair as I've been taking them out ... they do look remarkably alike.
We've removed 6, and have plugged in some sonic mouse deterrents. Needless to say, my partner who is still having nothing to do with them in case they 'get him',  is feeling a lot more relaxed.
I have stopped shouting 'THE LITTLE MOUSE' at him to make him jump ... BUT I have found now that I only have to show him an empty little mouse box trap to get some real lift out of him!    hehe  :o)

and lastly

I have to mention the glorious pathway of leaves everyday on my walks, it's as if the whole park has been to a wedding and the trees have thrown their leaves for confetti ... just BEAUTIFUL.

What things you saw. Busy girl. Love the dog stories. As for the mice....awful little creatures. Have had to "remove" a few myself over the years.

Love the dog walks and the trees at a wedding. Delightfully creative. And so glad you have realized that mice are seldom single. lol, used to live in an old farm house, out in the county, they never come alone.
