Oops! - Saturday Centus # 37

Saturday Centus' prompt this week is to use just 25 (eek!) words (not including the prompt) using the line ...  "the lottery ticket"

"We've WON! ... and you said I was stupid using the same numbers weekly."
"You did remember it was your turn to get the lottery ticket ... didn't you?"
"Aaaaaaggghh!!!"

Well done! Your text contains so much: suspense, drama, personal conflicts, hopes and dreams dashed by a breech of trust. Great work!
Thanks for following my blog!

As Tammy Wynette used to sing:

All that hope dashed makes me hurt. It's not so much the money as the failure to hold up one's end of an agreement. Sad and well written.

Clearly, the narrator is speaking to a man. Notice, we all assume this. This is great, very clever.

Always my fear. Years ago we played a certain lottery game and felt like we had to keep playing it. I always said if we didn't and the numbers came up, we would have to kill ourselves (obviously just kidding). Although we never won, thankfully, they discontinued the game.

Such a good story, and I would always buy my own lottery ticket. I would not take any chances!

Love the irony in this little micro-gem!

Wonder if they have enough money for the counselling or divorce lawyers!?!

That would be a tough one for sure!

Thanks for linking this clever post!
