Simply - Magpie Tales # 33

Magpie Tales  hosts a weekly writing prompt, write a small vignette or poem using the photo below as your inspiration.

He handed her the bottle of perfume
she knew it was expensive
all the gifts he gave her were expensive
he gave them to show how much he cared for her
she knew that was his way
that words were not easy for him
so she would smile graciously
and accept them
acknowledging his love
but she knew in her heart
she would give them all back in an instant
to hear him just once
say I love you.

'A man of words and not of deeds
Is like a garden full of weeds'
I hope she learns to appreciate him ;-)

when you're with a man of action
you gotta settle him down
look him in the eye
and charm those words outta him....

listen real close, now :)

Still, today, the hardest words for some men to say.

Very nice poem.

Three simple words, always appear as difficult on the tongue. Excellent write up! =)

Poignant. I hope it's not your own experience...but better to be loved well by someone who can't express it, than to receive fake love from a person.

I like the simplicity of what you wrote.

I love you...why are they so important? It's the gift from the heart and therefore priceless?

Perhaps.

Lovely...

The actions speak louder of the truth. May she hear those words as they be true! For empty words are not worth the space they fill...
