You emote mountains in just a few words - the poem and old photo are lovely. Per your challenge here is my wordy attempt with a dark humor twist. W.C.C.
For so many who see our smiles, they feel a touch of sorrow
Though clearly 3 heads in a car, are better than 1 in a barrel
Yes our lives would have be easier, as too our hopes for tomorrow
Had we not bet and WON, that our bodies could be lopped off by Zorro!

These kids look like they have moved beyond furor ~ or haven't approached it yet! Nice Magpie....
What a full tank of gas won't do.
I remember when we went for the ride - just for the ride!
Yes. I remember those feelings. Everything had to be felt intensely. Nice write.
Nice short poem!
Well done, Deborah.
No one will know who I am looking at,
except the one who catches my eye,
will there be a promise of crossing by again?
or will this be simply a lie?
Yes, driving fast is a sort of fury. But for some, like me, fast means fear.
"Fuel for the ride" indeed. Nicely written.

forever to nowhere
fast."

I really like that idea of being furious at the world because that's often how it is at that age. Succinct and very well done.
