Carry Me Far

Away to the Sky by beloavaan at deviantART

 Carry me far
let me sleep above ancient cities
away from bustle and noise
and incessant living.
From halogen lighting
that startles eyes I long to close
tight shut
To be allowed to dream among clouds
and silent softness.
Please carry me far
so I may escape
for just a while.

Beautiful!

I particularly loved

"Carry me far
let me sleep above ancient cities
away from bustle and noise
and incessant living."

and. . .

To be allowed to dream among clouds
and silent softness.

Wonderful, I loved it.

cablygeiThis picture is really so beautiful and your words do it full justice. I guess we'd all like to be ballooned away from the bustle and noise some days.

Thank you for sharing your poem on Real Toads.

Oh, how well I understand "incessant living"! Non-stop hustle and bustle wears me out.
Very, very well done.

I like it!

I think we all wish we could be carried away now and then. If even for a short while.

Lovely!

A brief escape is all we need to clear the head, and that beautiful prompt brought that out perfectly.

Beautiful poem!
Once Upon a midnight dreary
as I pondered, weak and weary.
I closed my eyes
and drifted to sleep.
Soon I came to realize
I was floating up in the skies.
No worries, no panic, no slips.
For I had balloons around my hips.
The End
